A few months back in summer, my sister planned a short trip to Malaysia and asked me to go with her. Even though I didn’t really think of visiting Malaysia, I decided to give it a go this time. Read my exciting travel story of this beautiful and diverse country.
On a short notice, I packed up all the summer clothes and we left for Malaysia. We were going to stay in a friend’s home in a small town.
We arrived in late afternoon and took a taxi to home. After meeting and having delicious drinks, a friend took us for a short outing and dinner. There were many spectacular mosques on the way which caught my attention. I immediately took the pictures while sitting in the car.
We stopped at a famous street food place to eat Malaysia’s traditional food ‘satay’. We watched the guy making fresh satay on bbq.
We ordered few sticks of satay along with fresh juices which were too delicious. Satay came with the 3 mouthwatering dips. We finished our meal and headed back to home as we were tired after 7 hours of flight.
We woke up early in the morning next day and went to street shops nearby to buy something for breakfast. After eating, we made our way to catch the train to Kuala Lumpur city. The weather was too hot and we could not even stand outside for a minute. After getting the instructions, we caught a train which took us to the mall through the city.
On the way, we spotted huge buildings, mosques, houses, universities and forests.
We arrived at Suria Mall KLCC within half an hour. Suria Mall is one of the biggest malls of Kuala Lumpur where you’ll find almost all the famous brands. It also has many food shops to satisfy your hunger cravings. We went to the food court where there was a large crowd of tourists enjoying their food from various restaurants.
We looked around a bit and finally ordered fettuccine, cheese and tomato pizza with coconut water.
We went to the shops in the mall and bought a few items which were on huge discount.
There was a Godiva shop from where we got chilled chocolate shake which was really necessary for that scorching heat.
After spending a few hours inside, we went out of the mall to view the most famous Twin Towers of Malaysia. There was a little river in front of the Suria Mall followed by the huge buildings.
We walked around for 15 to 20 minutes, took many pictures of the Twin Towers and surroundings and made our way back to the train station.
For the dinner, we went to an Arabic restaurant where we enjoyed kebabs with mutton soup.
My first day in Kuala Lumpur went pretty good. It would have been better if the weather was cool. But still, we had a great time doing shopping, eating a wide variety of food and sightseeing.
I hope you enjoyed reading my travelogue. Have a nice trip and travel.
