Hotel ibis Paris Bercy Village 12ème, Place des Vins de France, Paris, France
Last year in the month of December I traveled to Lyon city in France on a company assignment and that tour gave me an opportunity to discover the beautiful city of Paris.
Most of my colleagues there in France had already visited Paris so I had to visit the city alone. The tickets were booked , the to journey was by bus while fro was by train.I boarded the bus from Lyon on 11th evening and reached Paris next morning at around 6 am.Europe has an extensive network of ibis hotels and I booked a budget ibis hotel costing around 55 euros per night near to the Bercy bus stand.\
The hotel was neat and ensured proper hygiene.I got myself freshen up and it was time to explore Paris.
For vegetarians , Subway restaurants are a boon in such places which has sumptuous veg sandwiches and I had my brunch there.
No points for guessing Eiffel tower was the first destination . I am a firm advocate of using public transport when traveling, it is not only cost effective, safe but also gives an opportunity to interact with local people while travelling. So I boarded a local train and reached the Bin Hakem station near Eiffel tower from where Eiffel tower was at walking distance. And as soon as I had a glance of that gigantic structure the experience cannot be put into words. It was enormous and beautiful and the mood there was electric.I bought a ticket and then was travelled by a lift to the top of tower .The view from the top was as beautiful as it can get with the Paris skyline visible all around
By the time I came down it started getting dusky and the tower was illuminated with flashy lights which increased its beauty many times.
Next destination was Champ De Elysees street which houses some of the most iconic brands of the world and the mood there was festive.I roamed at the street till 1 in the night sipping the coffee enjoying the beauty..:) and visited the Arc de Triomph situated at one end of the street.
And then took a cab and reached hotel.
Next day's agenda was Louvre museum and the Cathedral, I visited the museum housed inside a gigantic building but did not go inside as was too tired to explore it and after visiting the Notre Dam de Paris I took a cab for the railway station from where I had my train for the Lyon and this brought and end the the exciting Paris trip.
