I strongly suggest you to visit Japan during cherry blossoms typically between the last week of March up to the first week of April. The
cherry blossoms period really takes the beauty of Tokyo to the next level and is highly worthy of the premium “peak season” price tag.
Reached Narita Airport around 11 AM local time weather was cold approx 15 degress, Now the confusion starts as Japanese are not so good in
English, I went to travel help desk at airport and met with an young lady who was very keen to help me after a 30 minutes of wonderful
conversation i only manage to understand how to take tickets from ticket vending machine. She also designed for me a small route map which
states "How to reach Nishikasai from Narita Airport"
After 2 hours of struggle finally i Checked in at Hotel Best Western Tokyo Nishikasai, Why Nishikasai ? as this was my first visit I was
suggested by few friends to stay at this place due as this is close to my office and many Asians can be seen here.
Hotel was ok types not good not bad, rooms are quite small but still ok....
As I reached on Sunday I still manage to find out 4-5 hours to explore near attractions, I decided to visit Akihabara why Akihabara??? 1)
this is close to my Hotel only 30-40 mins travel time. 2) its the one of the biggest electronic market of Asia.
Once i reached Akihabara i realize that i made a good decision. Akihabara is an outstanding place for all types of electronic starting from
small electronic ressistance to large home appliances everything was available, but none of them was cheap, all of them are expensive. So
you better think twice before purchasing anything. After a long 3-4 hours walk i returned to my Hotel as need to do some preparation for
Monday Morning : I heard about the Japanese disciplined behavior and since this was my first visit and i was completely unknown to place I
decided to leave early, Finally after 30 mins of travel time I reached at Hotel New ontani for my meeting. This is one the best hotel of
Tokyo. Monday and Tuesday was bit hectic but fortunately I manage to sneak out Wednesday halfday for me as Thursday morning is the return
travel for me.
Went to Chidorigafuchi and Yasukini Shrine for “hanami” cherry blossom viewing. Had a simple yet unforgettable yakitori dinner under an
illuminated cherry blossom tree. For visitors arriving during the non-cherry blossom season, I suggest for you to use this time to purchase
a Suica or Pasmo rechargeable transport card and get yourself familiarized with the area within your hotel's vicinity. You can also use
this time to explore the bustling nightlife in Shinjuku or Ginza as an alternative to Chidorigafuchi and Yasukuni Shrine.
Thursday : Its time for my return travel, took train from Nishi-kasai and after spending approx 90 mins i was at airport.
Flight was on time and Bye Japan!!!! with a promise to return back some day with my family.
