It was a week ago when I and my friend who stay in Delhi made a sudden plan to visit the exquisite city of gods Varanasi. From months we were planning to go for a cultural and traditional location to get a peace of mind and to experience the importance of our culture and values, so what else better can be other than the holy city Varanasi. It is said that Varanasi is as old as history and known as the city of temples and a beacon of culture.
We left Delhi by train and we spent about 3 days there in Varanasi it was a whole new experience full of delight and spirituality.
Day1: I was staying at my friends home who were the inhibitors of Varanasi they suggested me to visit many places so we decided to visit them one by one.
At our first day at Varanasi we visited the famous Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, it is believed that lord Vishwanath himself resides there it was a great built golden temple, depicting the Indian culture and historic importance from inside it was very beautiful and had a huge structure with a tight security surrounded by policemen, no bags, cell phones or pens were allowed inside. We witnessed the morning arti in the temple which filled our mind with spirituality and faith in god.
From the temple, we moved to dashaswamedh ghat which is considered the main ghat in Varanasi I spent good quality time on ghat which was a crowded place people visited ghats to take a holy dip in the river Ganges and perform various rituals. I also went for a boat ride through which I could see various ghats one by one like Assi ghat, Manikarnika ghat, Kedar ghat, etc. that were joined with each other it was a delightful experience. The beauty of Varanasi could be easily seen through the ride it was a magical experience as each ghat was named differently and had same historic importance behind them. I also took a holy dip in the river after the boat ride which made me feel like in heaven.
Day2: it was my second day in Varanasi started my day from the holy arti in the famous Sankat mochan temple which is a huge temple of lord Hanuman people from all over the place come here with full faith to worship great god Hanuman it was a great start for the day that filled me with joy from there I visited Banaras Hindu University which was a huge campus full of greenery, it is the largest residential university of Asia with 24 departments. In BHU I visited Vishwanth Mandir which was the most talked about place to students. At VT I saw various artifacts shops and food stalls and the place was very lively for youngsters to visit and spend their free time.
Day3: it was my last day in Varanasi so I decide to visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to his disciples after getting enlightenment. It was a huge place surrounded by green parks and historical monuments depicting the life of lord Buddha I also went to the deer park in Sarnath which was like a mini zoo overall it was a joyful experience.
