Vrindavan is not just about the temples, it about the feeling that you get visiting a spiritual place, the houses that are built in the time of Krishna, the lanes where he used to play.

Expect to get such narrow lanes around Vrindavan temple zone, so if you are driving by your own vehicle, look for below banners..

and don't miss to park your vehicle, else you never know if you will be even able to take a U-turn or not :)

Dharamshalas and hotels are easily available, it all depends on your budget, below is the one where we stayed

If your mom gets confused when buying kanhaiya's clothes in janmashtmi seeing same designs every year, then bring her here, she will be super duper confused :) with the choices she will have

And this is just one of the shop, there are rows and rows of shops.

I managed to click few of the pics in vrindavan, there are 2 reasons for not being able to capture the moments, one is: few things only eyes can see, camera can not capture it, so i lived in those moments rather than taking pics....second is temples wont allow you take camera inside.....third is monkeys wont allow you to take camera outside you pocket :)

If you wear spectacles, no need to keep watch on monkeys using them, just keep your spectacles inside the your thief pocket, because if you are wearing them or you have kept in the pocket which is easily accessible, monkey will take it in a blink of an eye, and you will get them back only after an offering, and specifically speaking, they need FROOoooOTI only. Shopkeepers say that 80% of frooti is sold in vrindavan just because of monkeys. So your phone and camera also is at risk..

Monkeys are not so polite as shown in the pic here, it was possible because of the grill barrier. This is a temple called as Seva Kunj, its been believed that Lord Krishna comes here and does Rasa lila here with Gopiyan every night, takes food here in the temple, kept at night by the priest before closing the temple, and when the temple is opened in the morning, the presence of krishna is noticed on the bitten laddoos, crumpled bed, etc...documentaries are available for this, better to believe it blindly. If you want proof, you are not allowed first of all to stay in the temple at night, anyhow if you manage to stay and witnessed it, then you will be dead/ blind deaf dumb/mentally sick. So choice is yours, i wanted to live and die normal so i moved on :)

These are the tress in the temple campus, its believed that these are Gopiyan which become alive at night in the presence of Lord Krishna. Monkeys, birds and squirrels in this temple campus vacate this area at night, ask why....because they also want to live and die normal :)
